Dr. Thanawala was ten when she moved from Poland to Chicago. Her desire to become a family medicine physician came from the way a doctor cared for a family member during a long illness and she saw what a gift it is to care for individuals in their most vulnerable state. She wants to be a support system for patients when they need to see multiple specialists. When not seeing patients, Dr. Thanawala and her husband enjoy family time, traveling, cooking and trying new restaurants.
